Sandhills Retirement

About Us...

Sandhills Retirement Community opened in 2001 and is a Christian faith based multi-denominational not for profit corporation.  Sandhills is a caring community of like-minded residents who enjoy a smaller more affordable home with less maintenance responsibilities.

Our facility encompasses bright, lovely, and spacious apartment style suites with large windows overlooking downtown Kitchener, and five appliances in most units, including washer and dryer. One and two bedroom suites are available on each of our five floors. Two levels of controlled entry indoor parking have been provided for those who need it. Sandhills is just steps away from everything that downtown Kitchener has to offer.

Ownership

Sandhills is a Life Lease Community. Life Lease is an exciting and popular housing alternative for active adults who are able to live independently. “Ownership” is in the form of a “Right to Occupy” Agreement that grants the purchaser the exclusive right to live in the suite for their lifetime, at a cost that is typically less than a comparable condo suite, and the right to the equity based on market value upon resale.  And of course Sandhills maintains the property providing the resident with carefree living.

Life Lease just might be the best choice for you.  If it is time for you to retire and relax, the cost of home ownership or renting can be high and Sandhills offers a cost effective and carefree alternative.
